Its been a while since I’ve posted a fitness update…
Theres been some ups and millions of downs (or so it feels! )… but I finally feel I’m in a place where I’m getting answers (tests, results or diagnoses) to my problems. I’m also learning and understanding more and more what works for my body and what doesn’t.
I’m a big fan of goal setting and for a while I’ve wanted to set some fitness/health goals. As much as the thought of returning to my pre baby weight, or getting ripped abs seem nice – I just actually want to feel well again.
After talking to some friends yesterday I came up with the perfect goal-
To be able to walk 1 mile pain free by 29th May. Why 29th May? That’s my daughters 6th birthday. For pretty much her whole life I’ve been in pain. She has no memory of mummy being well, or able to run or jump. So to start her 6th year of life more active and in less pain sounds perfect and a great motivation.
My plan of action is as follows:
1. Exercise 3 x week (ddp yoga)
2. Stick to a simple nutrition plan (including taking specific supplements and cutting out processed foods, unrefined grains and sugars)
3. Lots of water
4. Getting enough sleep.
I’ll be posting an update monthly to track my progress so watch this space! 🙂
